This route links the north coast, far west and south coast without assuming that every coastal car park permits an overnight stay.

Padstow Harbour

Begin on the Camel Estuary at Padstow, where the harbour, coast path and Camel Trail are easy to combine. The centre becomes congested in peak periods, so use signed parking and explore on foot. Cornwall Council currently lists Link Road among the car parks with a paid overnight motorhome option, but conditions can change.

Tintagel Castle

Tintagel's cliff-top ruins and footbridge are spectacular, but the site involves steep paths and steps and can close in severe weather. Book a timed entry where advised, check accessibility information and use a campsite or authorised stop outside the village rather than expecting space on arrival.

St Ives Harbour

St Ives combines beaches, galleries and a compact harbour quarter. It is far easier to leave a motorhome at a suitable site or the edge-of-town parking and travel into the centre than to negotiate the narrow streets. Check the council motorhome page and local seasonal transport before the trip.

Porthcurno Beach

Porthcurno's turquoise water and pale sand sit below high cliffs near Land's End. Parking is limited and the approach becomes very busy in summer, so arrive early, never park on verges and have an alternative day planned if the car park is full.

The Minack Theatre

The Minack is an open-air theatre cut into the cliff above Porthcurno. Advance booking is normally important, even for daytime visits, and the access road is not a place to improvise with a large vehicle. Check performance times, visitor sessions, parking and accessibility directly with the theatre.

Lizard Point

Britain's most southerly point offers coastal walks, wildlife and big sea views. Use the National Trust parking and follow local signs; cliff weather and footpath conditions can change quickly. The Lizard is better enjoyed from a nearby campsite with a full day on foot.

Eden Project

Finish inland at the Eden Project, where the huge biomes provide an all-weather contrast to the coast. Check current ticketing, opening times and vehicle information before travelling. Its location also works well as a final stop before beginning the journey back north.

Parking for a daytime visit does not automatically include permission to sleep in the vehicle.
