Lincoln Cathedral and Castle

Steep Hill and historic Lincoln

Steep Hill links the lower city with the Cathedral Quarter through a characterful street of historic buildings and independent businesses. Plan an alternative route if required.

Belton House and parkland

Near Grantham, Belton combines a historic country house, formal gardens and extensive parkland. Check the official National Trust Belton visitor page for opening information, access and any booking requirements before arrival. The attraction car park is for a visit, not an assumed overnight stop.

Lincolnshire Wolds

The Lincolnshire Wolds offer quiet villages, open farmland, walking routes and broad views between Lincoln and the coast. Louth, Horncastle and Market Rasen make useful bases for exploring the area. Keep to roads suitable for the motorhome, avoid blocking gateways or passing places, and use signed parking or a booked campsite.

Skegness beach and pier

Skegness is the classic family seaside stop, with a sandy beach, promenade, pier and plenty of visitor attractions. East Lindsey District Council currently lists designated daytime motorhome parking at Richmond Drive in Skegness, as well as sites at Chapel St Leonards, Mablethorpe and Sutton-on-Sea. Its rules say overnight occupation of vehicles is not permitted, so check the council’s current motorhome-parking information and arrange a separate legal overnight stay.

Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve

Just south of Skegness, Gibraltar Point protects a large area of dunes, saltmarsh, mudflats and beach. There are walking routes, bird hides, accessible paths, a visitor centre and parking. Check the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust’s current visitor guidance before travelling and keep dogs under the control required by signs and seasonal wildlife restrictions.
